We’ve quoted “do not forsake the assembling” for generations, and usually meant, “Be in church on Sunday.” But is that actually what Hebrews 10:25 says? Maybe the verse isn’t demanding less of us than we thought. Maybe it’s demanding far more.

We say, “Come as you are.” We preach grace and no condemnation. But have we quietly added our own terms and conditions? Through the stories of Matthew, Zacchaeus, the woman at the well, Peter, and others, we take an honest look at how Jesus treated people, and whether the church always reflects Him.
